  2. Hey Drach, just a small thing about the war of 1812. If the Royal Navy had been previously impressing Americans into service then I would make an educated guess to the fact that this was done by stopping American vessels at sea. And I think that was pretty much the point when war was declared that the US was getting harassed by the Royal Navy to the point they declared war. And also on land the Brits were teaming with the natives to strike against settlers & such as well. And so the US was basically just wanting the Brits out of North America, and to stop harassing their ships at sea. AND since the Treaty of Gant or whatever pretty much solved the issue it was over. Idk, I think the concessions that were given in the treaty itself is where the victory lies. Not necessarily a "Naval" type victory but a victory nonetheless cuz the US got what it wanted. While the British could technically say it "won" as well, the people that really LOST the war of 1812 were the native americans. And I'm sure the loss of Tecumseh himself was a huge loss to them as well.
