In the very first ten minutes you are talking about "what if" the Japanese took Midway & Pearl Harbor? Well in that case the Doolittle Raid could have been MUCH MUCH BIGGER cuz there would have been little threat around the Japanese Islands. And then most of the ships trying to protect the Hawaii islands and Midway will be pulled back to the home islands. But the thing was that the Japanese didn't have enough troops to take Hawaii cuz most troops they had were busy taking & holding more lucrative holdings such as the Dutch oil fields. Plus still trying to kill as many Chinese as possible.

The story of HMS Stewart being in between Italian heavy cruisers & opening up with it's "Italian" machine gun with special tracer rounds that makes the Italians think it's "a confused friendly" shows just how crazy night actions can be. I've recently been trying to read Lundgren's summations of the night battles around Guadal Canal. And now, realizing that USS Washington may have accidentally fired on her own escorts is a very sobering & sad situation. And definitely explains Admiral Lee's reluctance to fire on Kirishima until he's positive it's an enemy vessel. AND it also explains his reluctance for further night battles without the proper training of the crews that would be involved.

Well it's these "WHAT IF" SCENARIOS that really have no way of happening to begin with!!! "WHAT IF" the USA actually came up with the idea & invented the atomic bomb 5 years sooner than it historically happened? Would we bomb Germany & Japan? Or just Japan & give Germany an ultimatum or vise versa? Would the Doolittle Raid actually be an atomic weapon being used? Or would we risk taking the bomb to China & fly bombers from there to drop an atomic weapon? Would we try to nuke Japanese Navy ships instead of the famous "Crossroads" Bikini Bottom "Able" & "Baker" tests. And then how would we know that the Japanese sailors were heavily radiated & dying? Would IJN ships be found sailing along with everyone on board dead from radiation poisoning? And would that be considered a war crime similar to using chemical weapons? I mean, pretty nasty thing to do to people.

@verysurvival Yeah, actually in my very personal opinion on that one: Americans seem to have the notion that only a man should be President. And I think out of all the Presidents we've ever had Trump is more of a crook than any of them. He was directly responsible for what happened at the Capital when he lost his re-election and he should have been tried & convicted for it! But the Republicans were too crooked to convict him! And in my eyes makes them an accessory after the fact! He is less worthy of the title "Mr President" than any before him that I know. And I also believe that if Harris had had the guts to walk out on stage during the first Presidential Debate wearing a "strap-on penis" she would have won the election! And I personally feel sincere remorse for those that tried to assassinate him cuz I feel like they were sacrificing themselves for the good of the country. And I lament their sacrifice and wish they had succeeded! The morals of the people in this country have evidently fallen to the lowest I've ever seen! To elect a hate monger criminal like Trump for another term over a rather super intelligent lady like Harris is in my personal opinion an insult to all the GREAT LEADERS this country has had in the past!

It's very difficult to imagine that the Japanese would have been able to take Hawaii cuz of all the Army & Marine troops stationed there.
