In a few guides you've said a ship was too far along in the design process to stop and the result was a ship technology had overtaken like the Dantons. If a ship design is obsolete before construction has even begun, why proceed? Wouldn't it have been better to absorb the lost time and money, thrown away the plans for outdated ships and then take the time to design something better. And put the assembled material into storage to use for the better ships. Instead of six Dantons they French could have used the 12inch turrets for three proper Dreadnoughts rather than build an obsolete design which cannot stand in the battle line.
