  1. Kodak might intentionally down itself. Japan has solid semiconductor fabs and a complete infrastructure. So Fuji has had an edge over Kodak since digital came in. Given the same German business who was Japan's teacher, Agfa. This German firm also went bankrupt because they don't have a complete IC industry like Japan. Today , even German's top brand cameras also has to use Japan image sensors.
