@MaryGwenDungan if/when the US falls, it will take the rest of the world with it. I don't see any possible US able to do this. Because US geolocation is excluded from the majority of the entire world ,The Eurasia. If the US failed, It'd failed itself alone. Their currency reserve can be written off by changing to other new reserve currency and defining some percentage of the penalty as US debt.
