  6. The French don't trust the US/UK and have made that obvious on multiple occasions. Then they complain why we don't trust them and inform them of an alliance agreement before it is announced. Typical double standards from the french.

  13. The subs are nuclear powered, but they won't carry nuclear ballistic missiles. So, Australia will not have not broken any part of the NPT. Simple.

  14. No, they didn't as there was no contract between France and the UK/US. That contract was between France and Australia . The contract was cleverly written to allow Australia to walk away by making a penalty payment. That is exactly what they are doing.
