  1. I did some calculations a few years ago on the requirement for the electrification of just the Private vehicle transport in the UK to replace the automotive fuels and the cost it would require. The UK would effectively another UK Electrical Generation Grid in addition to the one that is already in place. The energy duty cycles would require a steady base load that Solar and Wind Generation are incapable of delievering so it would require around 30-40 Gigawat+ Nuclear Power Stations at over 1 £trillion combined with an EV fast charger network costing around another 1 £trillion. Interesting enough some far more detailed projected costs by more knowledgeable industry insiders say £3 Trillion in total (more than the UK National Debt). £28 Billion a year is a piss in the bucket for the NetZero and the Uranium would have to purchased from Vladimir Putins Uranium One mining company.
