  1. Someone's lying! If a family supermarket food shop has gone from £30 to £70 then the official inflation rate of 10% means that the food shop should have gone from £30 to £33 over the last year. Its a mystery. Same with Electrical Energy bills going from £1200 to £2500 then £3000 in a few months time (a one year period). The 10% inflation rate would see Energy Bill going from £1200 to £1320 instead of £3000. The UK Government Office for National Statistics seem to be the fibbers.
