@RealPackCat you state that Russia has "started to restore Donbas" but what exactly are they constructing and when? That they erased Mariupol from the face of the earth and are now "restoring" by tearing down what's left of the steel works and burying it in a bunch of earth and calling it a "park"? Donetsk and other DLPR municipalities suffered remarkably little structure damage in spite of being on the frontline during 8 years. The substantial and very regrettable loss of human life is mostly by antipersonnel devices forbidden by Ottawa Treaty and not used by Ukraine (disposed of under threat of sanctions long ago, with supervision) but used by Russia (not a member of the treaty). Most of the damage in DLPR is economic and self inflicted purely from being a unrecognised statelets and departing from Ukrainian engineering industrial complex, state institutions and banking, cutting shipments of basic supplies. In the interim, when these measures were taken, DPR for example was transparently and directly under control of Russian agents such as Girkin to name an example. So Russia has had it both ways, wage war and cause destruction while officially allegedly not even being there. A few bulldozers moving dirt around being shown on TV is hardly "restoration" pending further progress and ongoing proof.
