  1. I don’t know. But if your loan was federal, there’s supposedly a pause on payments and garnishments until September 30th. Starting March 13th.

  2. AbsurdlySane contact your HR department or payroll person if a small office. We’re getting garnished too and waiting to see if they suspended properly on Fridays paycheck.

  4. Also if your loan is a qualified federal loan (I don’t remember the exact kinds, but it’s in the links) you should be able to request a refund for any garnishments after March 13th. May have to wait awhile for refunds but could be helpful down the line. Wishing us both luck. 🤞 (If you think about it later, post an update what happened. We’re taking the wait and see approach.)   5. AbsurdlySane you’re welcome! Good luck, I’m just figuring out things myself. Yeah, I’m pretty biased about the 80’s too😁 Was very lucky last couple years, got tickets to Depeche Mode, missing persons and violent femmes as special gifts for birthdays etc.

  6. Tyrade Shift if your loan is a federal loan, payments can supposedly be paused from March 13th to September 30th. If you made a payment after the 13th, you can request a refund of it from your lender if it’s a federal loan. Also garnishments are supposed to be paused.

  7. AbsurdlySane awesome thanks! Good news and good luck Last two checks still had the garnishments taken out, the HR Dept didn’t get paperwork to stop them but will on the next checks. We’ll have to request garnishment refunds from the lender for the last two paychecks they were taken from.

  8. kennysdead500 yes I’m pretty sure that’s correct you won’t get the coronavirus relief check if you’re a dependent on tax filing.
