  1. "its very hard for US persons to give up". Patriotism is one thing; but having to renounce citizenship in order to escape taxation is quite another.

  2.  @juju10683  Democrat and Republican politicians do agree on quite a lot; but the two primary areas where they DISAGREE are those of taxes and gun control.

  3.  @nomadkickbox4049  "any foreigner with money". Do they get that information from the bankers? If so, one could keep only small amounts of money in a Mexican bank. But yes... displaying one's wealth... while in Mexico... is probably not a good idea.
