@jamaican_4_life95 my thoughts were, during the first cold war other countries have been freed from European slavery, recovering and was not having need for vast amount of oil and gas due to low industrialisation, now Russia has alternative clients much larger than Europe

@umarbbosa5898 hmm , there is saying in my region," if you hit a guy on the body he would heal but if you take away his ability to purchase food he would kneel". Economic warfare somehow is closely related to this metaphor especially when it comes to commodities which is essential for day to day life

@Ed Straker why didn't the USSR do this during the first cold war, oil and gas for rubles and commodities for rubles , tangible goods always wins over intangible goods

@dhttube I heard they have already started transacting without SWIFT , they where formulating some alternative methods for long time because USA was disrupting economical transactions whenever they wanted in the past maybe from 30 years ago , do you really think the people of the rest of the world wouldn't get fed up and form an alternative, would you be waiting around? Use some basic common sense...
