I agree with Dostoevsky being funny. I was surprised by how much I laughed out loud while reading The Brothers Karamazov. I wasn't expecting it to have so much humor.

If anything it's the opposite; meaning the more futile thing would be converting to the insane cult of Christianity.

@_jared Interesting. For me it's usually the opposite; with an ebook I'm less aware of the progress through the book and more absorbed in the text itself.
