That doesn't make for a bubble, as topics and awareness of them is still openly discussed simply without endorsing them. In fact moderation seems to prevent bubbles, and lack of it has helped them grow.

It's decentralized: you determine the moderation policies rather than a company, and you cannot be banned no matter what you say. Personally, I think there can be some common sense guidelines, for instance regarding people insulting eachother or spreading false claims. For as long as it's not a platform intentionaly made for spreading hate and falsehoods, it should allow everyone who is in good faith to participate while keeping bad actors from running rampant. Courts and Wikipedia are good examples I suppose.

But most people will simply join regular servers where the moderation practices will be similar to those of big tech companies.
