The guys behind this are completely dark, evil and disgusting. Anyway, it seems to be a work by Drew DeVault.

The maintainers of Gnome are to busy being activists, and are uncapable of doing real programming and design.

No one speaks about the fact that they are having issues with the integration tests. And, it is a power move to replace GPLed software. That's what it is.

@Mr.Riojas Yup, crawling out of the woodwork. These guys have a thing i common: they hate the truth.

@ErnestHecken The IP match perfectly, unless it is a bizarre coincidence and they happen to use the same hosting service, which is kind of unusual, if at all possible. I do not believe in coincidences. Anyway, the writing pattern should be compared.

@JPs-q1o The way he projects onto others is very telling.

I'm already moving to a different platform. If YouTube throws a fit of exclusivity on my videos, I can delete all my videos on YouTube to protect the same content on other platforms.

PulseAudo sometimes replicate the mic to the internal sound stream. Namely, when using OBS, I have often to change the audio input to fix an issue with the wrong device selected, or even worse, I have echo even with one mic. It is a POC by Lennart Poettering.

Finally! I mean, the trope that Linux has to adapt Windows users is getting old. It is not only against the principle of doing one thing and doing one thing right, it is against the concept of having nothing to do with Micro$oft. In fact, if Linux gets too similar to Windows, M$ can sue. Also, PulseAudio is a piece of crap, and Linux is not to blame.

LBRY still has some kinks, but the community and the techs behind it are great folks. Unlike YouTube, their small team is very helpful. I managed to recover a lost video, thanks to their help. As for YouTube, if they throw the exclusivity clause towards me, I will delete all my videos here.

Unfortunately nasty people exist. That lady is sick on the head. And a racist.

They should explore alternatives to systemd. I've recently into a severe issue caused by systemd. I have an HID device with its file permissions set only for root despite the udev rules clearly and explicitly setting user access. Not even restarting udev would fix this. Only "sudo udevadm trigger" fixes this, but I have to do this every time I plug in the device.

I'm not very pleased with the 20.04 release and onwards, because they cut lots of legacy packages. For instance, any application needing libssl1.0.0.so cannot run. Also, all of the applications that I've made, requiring QRegExValidator(), are now broken. To fix this, I have to include the respective library in every file that needs it. Furthermore, Qucs is no longer there nor is possible to install it, although on 18.04 LTS was pretty much discontinued (but it could be installed there).

The userland is always the "end game", or the purpose of any operating system. The guys that say that the userland is not important, or even that the user should have no control, are sheep and lobbyists. They have vested interests as they are being bribed by the likes of Micro$oft, or they are plain stupid and ignorant.

The capitol wouldn't be seaged if censorchid didn't exist. A serious discussion is not possible with censorship and polarization.

As for videos being slow to load, I can get the reason why. LBRY does not compress or re-compress videos. Of course that also means you can't change between formats when viewing, and you may need a fast connection. But at least the video is preserved. Also, I should mention that Odysee was created by the same guys behind LBRY, and they've added lots of more features as well. That's why some people lost their subscribers on the transition. If it was just a front-end per se, it wouldn't affect LBRY channels at all. Anyway, it was a bug, and they were helpful.
