It's downright creepy how people have spread this lie about the Mumia case. I went to a college in Portland with a very liberal student body. I was in a class with a very accomplished linguist, a really smart guy. Some of the students were whining about this case(his death sentence was up for appeal, or something); seemed to think it was mean racist cops framing the black guy. The professor's remark was "I get the impression that not all the cops are total bad guys, that they do want to get to the truth." WTF? This stone cold guilty thug murdered an officer in cold blood over a traffic stop, and this commie prof's generosity is "The cops are total bad guys". The guy is even a famous linguist.
