  1. "End Diversity Ban" doesn't even make any coherent logical sense. It has a double negative "end" and "ban". So you're left wondering if whomever wrote it is illiterate. It literally says that the ballot measure will end a "diversity ban". That makes it sound like the ballot measure is pro-affirmative action.

  2. The ballot initiatives actually put a check on politicians. In Oregon, the state politicians were constantly trying to establish a sales tax, but it always got shot down with ballot initiatives. Naturally, politicians are more pro-tax than the public.
