I didn't read your comment, I saw your name and thought, oh not another pro Russian Botnik making up a conversation with himself Let me try. Wolfs Winkel: "Hey everyone, I am a low rent Botnik, I will shill for a sack of potatoes" Me: "Thats unfortunate Winkles, you're selling yourself short. You have the potential to make a difference and be more than just someone who sells their support to the highest bidder. Stand up for what you believe in and make a difference in the world." Wolfs Winkel: "But I don't have any beliefs, I have a miserable life and I blame the west for it." Me: "Don't blame the west for your miserable life" Wolfs Winkel: "I want to live in Russia, maybe my life will be better there" Me: "A change of country might be a good thing for you Winkles, when do you plan on moving there? I only ask because a second wave of mobilizations are going to take place and I dont want you to miss out"

@denisroides8240 Russia has sent reinforcements to the region as well, their losses are significantly higher than those suffered by Ukraine. Bakhmut is fortified and historical examples of siege warfare show that the attacking side often experiences greater casualties than the defending side. Therefore, Ukraine faces a difficult decision on whether to maintain its defensive position in Bakhmut and inflict higher casualties on the Russian forces, whilst losing casualties themselves, or to withdraw and relinquish control of the city and perhaps not have the same opportunity for a much higher loss exchange ratio. Throughout history, numerous examples exist of sieges where the attacking side experienced heavier losses than the defending side. The siege of Bakhmut is no different.
