Scotland is 2nd in the UK after London for attracting inward investment. UK Government is against us becoming independent yet you think we're nothing, that we have no economic potential and are a leach on the UK. Very odd.

@plinble A third (2,400 GWH) of Northern Ireland's 7,300 GWH electricity usage in 2023 was supplied from Scotland via the subsea electricity interconnector that enters in Ayrshire and comes out at Larne. 422 MWH of electricity was also exported from Northern Ireland to Scotland. Northern Ireland had a trade deficit in electricity with Scotland of 2000 GWH.

@John-c4r1o Generating electricity from tidal energy is a new technology. The cost Per KWH is £200 in the contracts its won suppling Orkney. Because its a new technology of energy generation the cost is quite high compared to other energy sources. With more uptake the cost Per KWH will come down like it does whenever any new technology comes along. Hopefully Dundee manufacturing and exporting more Orbital O2 like the one in the vid. Also i see the port of Nigg in the Cromarty Firth has won contracts to manufacturing its turbines.

Post boxes were to be displayed with an EIIR Cypher. Many Scottish people did not believe Queen Elizabeth II had legitimacy to use that title in Scotland because Scotland never had a First Elizabeth Queen of Scots. @toma411 Correct, The National Grid PLC owns the grid in England & Wales. The Scottish National Grid is owned by Scottish Power and SSE. However, with Scotland having grew to became the largest supplier of electricity to England & Wales, The National Grid PLC does operate the cross border transmission system for England & Wales to receive the supply from its largest electricity supplier.
