The last invasion attempt from Belarus back in February turned out to be a failure. Ukraine has a much bigger, better trained and equipped military now and has had the time to prepare their defences along very difficult border geography. Do the Russians really expect a different outcome? Are they really that stupid?

NATO doesn't have to "divvy up" anything from that part of the World. It's not that special.

NATO doesn't "react" unless attacked. Almost a year into this war and the idiot Russian trolls still see NATO through Russian eyes as being a single entity with a great Commissar at it's head barking out orders. It is a defensive alliance of thirty nations ... many of whom previously lived under Russian repression. The Poles lost millions to the Russian occupation in 1939.

@janvandermeer6159 NATO air force will only "kick in" if a NATO country is attacked. Let's see if the Russians are stupid enough to do that.

@TapiKoks NATO cannot go and conquer land. It's not that sort of organization. Besides, why does NATO need more land? It's bigger in area than Russia, far more powerful, more populace, vastly richer and far more advanced in every measurable way. Russi is a sick and dying dinosaur and no one would want to take on caring for their miserable population after they collapse.

@DJ-bh1ju I was a participant in the Cold War having served in a NATO military in the 1970s, child. NATO didn't "pressure" any opponent. NATO came together into to the current mutually protective alliance to stop the relentless AND FREQUENTLY STATED Soviet objective of conquering the World and spreading their revolution everywhere to the whole human race. I'd say that you are the one with a warped view, Junior.
