  1. You have to move large bodies of troops from one sector to another. Vehicles will be in short supply and a big convoy of them will stick out in a satellite or drone image like a neon sign. That's what happened to the Russians a year ago. Old fashioned marching might still be the most efficient way for an army with stretched resources.

  4. I'm a 67 year old Canadian naval vet and I was laughing my ass off as the Russians abandoned their still-floating but ridiculous phallic display cruiser Moskva a year ago. They're just as bad as we imagined them to be fifty years ago.

  6.  @lastword8783  When I trained I was never in a group so large. It is unclear to me why you'd have thousands of men marching together "training". Training to do what? Don't be so unanalytic.

  8. I hate to say it but if the Ukrainians don't defend themselves, the Russians will put a million of them to death as they "disappear" Ukraine so the threat of nukes is a reasonable trade-off. You have to do what you have to do and you must be brave.
