  1. Russia doesn't have the "stuff" to maintain a conflict with NATO for years. They are using up their legacy stock of Soviet equipment at a rapid rate with not much industrial capacity to replace it. Their manpower is running down fast and the conscripts replacing them are progressively worse quality soldiers. It will be a seriously assymetrical conflict that Russian will have no possible way of winning.
