There is an old comedy routine about in the World in which they say the lovely, evocative English word "butterfly", then the beautiful "papillion" and the poetic "mariposa" and then "SCHMETTERRLING" which is shouted by the German speaker thus evoking an image of the poor creature with rows of iron rivets down it's side. By the way, Stille Nacht is much prettier than Silent Night (as nice as the English version is)
