Unfortunately, the ammunition that Ukraine desperately needs is not the ammunition that the NATO countries manufacture, for the most part. Unless the West reverse engineers and manufactures Soviet calibre shells, Ukraine will have to look elsewhere in the World for their stocks. How about it, India?

@ericp1139 China is closely allied with Russia. China is India's biggest existential threat and the two nations are not friends but are future (not very distant future, either) superpower competitors. Reconcile that.

@ericp1139 No but they are part of that axis as the World is on the edge of a much wider conflict. Anyway, what could India possibly get out of an alliance with Russia of all places? The Russians are pretty much incompetent. Russia is #8 in the World for their petroleum reserves. Canada, say is #3 in the world and they have deep historic and cultural ties with India. The current defence minister there is Hindu and the previous one is a Sikh. There is a huge Indian diaspora in Canada but you can bet your boots that the racist Russian fascists don't think highly of the Indians. India has lost their way.
