  1. It's amazing how utterly and completely Vladimir Putin has managed to unite NATO like never before, especially after the work that his friend Donald Trump put into breaking it up. A few weeks ago, German resolve in the alliance was questionable but there they are doing a difficult thing for the greater good of Western civilization. This might entail some economic difficulty in the short term but it will force Germany and others in Western Europe to really go "green" to match their rhetoric. Germany has the know-how to return from utter destruction and this challenge should be relatively easy to deal with.
