  1. "The West" isn't a place nor a political entity. 'The West" is a civilization that wraps around the World and includes Europe, most of the Americas, Oceania, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, S. Korea and even portions of India. Putin is at war with a civilization, apparently and his chances of success are therefore dismal especially considering Russia's dependance on The West for commerce, materiel and ideas.
