"Lives at risk" ... not as many as before he crashed.

When the flooding subsides, the now partially drained reservoirs will have shallow and gradual shorelines on each side because of deposition and that will make it a lot easier for amphibious vehicles such as Leopard IIs to ford the now narrower river upstream of the dam. The Russians just wiped out a whole lot of their fixed defensive positions south of Kherson and they can't replace them when they are flooded.

"Ukraine war: Why are Russian forces moving out of Kherson?" Hobos can't swim.
52
" Who could become the new Wagner boss?" How about Steven Seagal? He's a "tough guy" too. Just ask him.

@AllahblessRussiaChinaAnd-lj4ng When the Russians left Afghanistan after eight years leaving the Taliban in power, they conveniently forgot about that defeat. Anyway, few of had any illusions about the Pakistan Is. Our cities are full of their diaspora and it's hard to see them as anything but our enemies the way they behave. They clearly don't like us.

@jamesgreen1116 Longer range cruise missiles are on their way. That bridge is toast, as is any Black Fleet ships still brave enough to tie up in Sevastopol. Ukraine is winning ... slowly but steadily and Russians are in retreat all along the line.
15
It's a GRU owed building that has been hit twice and therefore is not a civilian facility. The same night, the Russians hit a hospital in the South. That's okay, then?
14
@haixinzheng9759 No oil in Afghanistan. No NATO in Iraq. Nice try, though Lieutenant.
13
Yup. They both are.
13
@KirosanaPerkele It's an amphibian that can split the waters in front of it.
10
According to the Russian government, they are still in Russia and there really is no front so why pay them more?
9
I hope that the Russians can all scurry safe of Crimea before it is besieged. That bridge is toast.
9
@SuperDrake85 It's a tank of the people, by the people and for the people.
9
@shsh-he5qg Well, yes they did. They obliterated badly conceived and led columns of troops in the road.
8
Ukraine will build back better than Russia will. Ukraine has friends. Russia ... not so much.
8
Germany has done as little as possible to keep peace in Europe throughout history.
8
They could steer it by going up and down. The winds up there are layered and not necessarily going in the same direction.
8
@blackcatdungeonmastersfami5311 There's no doubt that their Commanders are commandeering their pay.
7
New Delhi likes their new Russian colonial masters.
7
@Atilla963 Umm, no. IF they had been successful, they wouldn't be "dancing" any further West than the Polish border. NATO can field 3.85 million fully equipped , trained, armed and fed troops and the Russian army would have been obliterated by them had they tried to move into mid Europe. Russia is so weak and depleted now that the danger has passed.
7
@errydeo8865 What benefit does the USA get out of this? Name one.
7
Riiiight. It only has little guns that shoot at drones, not big ones. Just a fun, Russian-style cruise ship that's paint navy grey like all fun ships are. Haha
7
He ain't too bright.
7
It isn't wise for him to admit that he's listening in on the use of his network.
6
@patryan4445 "euro tunnel be a good target easy hit for the Russians" The concept of 'total war" and how that will leave Russia in ruins seems to escape the trolls on here.
6
Back aft is where the large machine spaces are. If it exploded, it hit where it would disable a drive shaft, probably bust the steering gear and flood large compartment ... potentially an engine room although that will be a bit more forward. The crew of Moskva abandoned her while she was still afloat and under tow leaving her fire fighting hoses squirting away unmanned.
6
@bennybadoque75 Check your propagandized history at the door. Russia is currently a colonial empire. By the way, what about Alaska, Ivan?
5
@KOPROITE 89 Mars is the god of chocolate bars.
5
@zenster1097 That's where the word "martial" comes from.
5
@WinterXR7 ... until it's not again. Time for another hit. The new longer range cruise missiles coming in from France can hit that.
5
That explains all those Russian advances that we ... wait a minute!
5
Yeah. Me too.
5
@PaulMoment96 Sure it was. The Russian soldiers even knew to withdraw from their positions south of the Dnipro before they blew the dam. See any Russian soldiers go floating by? No? That's because they had advanced warning.
5
It didn't get that close to the Titanic wreck. None of it is likely there.
4
All that has to happen is for the Russian troops to get back into their vehicles, drive back into Russia and stay there. War ends in one day ... that day ... immediately. It's really very easy. Peace is at hand. The Russians can end this war in one day.
4
@LJMayhew The banks will have a gentler slope because of the silting. Engineers would have to lay down lath or mesh in front of them, though.
4
@chemcintosh9704 Ummmm to stop an armoured offensive that was waiting for the ground to dry out? Is it REALLY that difficult to comprehend? (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome has really done a number on the Russian['s ability to reason.)
4
Sad fate for the Russian trolls who try so hard and only occasionally get paid in Kopecks.
4
Only if the Flux Capacitor is on the fritz.
4
Apparently Ukraine has imposed a news blackout about the Kherson encirclement. The Ukrainians are now known for their feints. Expect the surprise advance to be south of Zaporizhzhia.
4
Humpty Dumpty Surovikin had a great fall.
4
It tells us what we already know about Russian industry ... that it is crap.
4
@lqfr8813 An ROV found 6 or7 major pieces of wreckage all grouped together about 500 meters from the bow of Titanic. It will take some while to bring them up. I'm guessing that they will bring up a lot of it. They won't be sifting through the sand for fragments of teeth, though.
3
The water for Crimea won't be because it came from that reservoir. Crimea is pretty arid. Maybe, they don't have to reach it ... just besiege it.
3
It has "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY RUNNING DOG" written on it's side in Mandarin.
3
World will be a lot poorer as the Russians are incompetent.
3
"Belarus leader: Wagner boss 'back in Russia'" Suuuure he is. In a casket or an urn?
3
@paolopetrozzi2213 I suppose that the muddy reservoir will make it harder for the Russian army to retreat in panic like they did from Kherson last fall.
3
@mohnjayer Why? Why would Ukraine destroy their own country? The idea is idiotic.
3
Sure. Earn some real hard currency instead of Rubles.
