@florians9949 doubtful, in a lot of these cases the actors in question are more interested in the abstract concept of an emperor or a king, instead of the actual person. If the japanese emperor stood opposed to the militants in the 20s, they'd have just branded him as a softened by western ideologies, and found another 'true' replacement for him from the royal family who could have kept quiet and let them work. this still happens today sadly.
