  3. Yup. I class US marines at a similar standard to British infantry. They aren't at the level with RMs. When I was serving, 8 miles with 25kg as a cft plus the bits at the end was not much of a challenge. Sore feet sometimes but even the fat lads made it round the course and could keep up with the squad.
