Germany was and remained fundamentally outnumbered. Germany's only chances were either A) to conclude a friendly peace with the UK in 1940. That wasn't possible 1) UK was and is a liberal democracy and thus unable to compromise with a fascist dictatorship 2) UK wasn't so afraid of the communists as Hitler thought. The LibDems decided, smartly, to play the fascists and communists against each other and while it took 40 years the LibDems decisvely defeated BOTH fascism AND marxism. 3) Hitler's goal was to destroy the UK empire (which he did btw). Even without incompatible ideology no UK-NS compromise was possible. Give that Hitler's only other chances were B) An alliance with the communists against the LibDems. Not entirely impossible but extremely unlikely C) NS-Japan invade Russia together and Japan ignore US/UK. Unlikely but not entirely impossible D) Nukes! Btw maybe the got one or two and used them to negotiate a favorable post-war peace. NS Germany managed to destroy the UK and USSR empires but it was a suicidal victory. Turning point was Stalingrad obv. Destruction of Sixth Army was game over for NS Germany barring a nuclear breakthrough (which supposedly didn't happen).
