  1. Doesn't everyone know that 1) Germany defaulting / unable to pay war reparations meant that 2) France was unable to pay Britain war loans and so 3) Britain and France were not able to pay war loans back to the USA. 1929 started in Berlin and somewhere in 1927 or 1928.
