I never thought I'd reach a point in my life when I automatically question science. Ideological and financial corruption has undermined automatic trust in these institutions.

Within the last 5000 years, there have been three warming periods (referred to as optimums, not crises), Minoan, Roman and Medieval. The Minoan was the warmest, followed by the Roman and then Medieval. All three were warmer than today, looking at the overall trend appears to indicate a cooling. When the IPCC produced its first Assessment Report, they used the chart showing those warm periods. They quickly realised that it didn't support their global warming narrative, so switched to using the crooked hockey stick from Michael Mann. You see, the grift works best when we are not reminded of the evidence or past events.

@NiToNi2002 I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you’re being had. Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus. There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus.

@NiToNi2002 THE THREE RULES OF GROUPTHINK 1. ILLUSION - A group of people come to share a belief that is not based in reality: an illusion. 2. CONSENSUS - As the belief does not match external reality, the group of people resort to hanging onto the only thing they have, a consensus between them that the illusion is reality. From this point, the illusion's main justification becomes this "consensus". 3. INTOLERANCE - Any external person to the groupthink with a different view needs to be silenced because the "consensus" becomes the only defence of the illusion. Therefore the groupthink group resorts to censorship, intimidation, and "cancelling" all critical opinions.

I’ll say what ever you like for the right price, paid science, paid results, paid outcomes, follow the money 👃

CO2 is vital for our food supply. Reducing CO2 is reducing food supply. There is no science in climate change. Climate change happened when, by the sleight of hand, global warming had a name change to climate change. Your Masters appears to be in groupthink— mode of thinking in which individual members of cohesive groups tend to accept a viewpoint or conclusion that represents a perceived group consensus, whether or not its valid, correct, or optimal. #ChurchofClimatology @alan2007-x8x
