  1. Yes, I did miss Karnataka bypolls. Apologies! What I wanted to say was win or lose Yediyurappa doesn't have much to gain. If the BJP wins both, Bommai will get the credit for pulling it off. And if the party loses Lingayat-dominated seats (almost 60-70 k in each constituency), it would be projected as a validation of how Yediyurappa has lost support on the ground, especially when he forced the high command to make his son one of the in-charges in the Hangal bypoll.
