  4. Hi, sorry for my late reply. Yes, running parties as proprietary concerns should be the issue, not just about someone belonging to a political family. Unfortunately, all parties have become proprietary nowadays, given how party workers and leaders, except a chosen few, have no say in who becomes their party president at the national level or in states. Even CMs are decided by the high command and then thrust on MLAs. I was covering the Democratic primaries in the US in 2008 when Obama and Clinton were fighting it out. Since then I have been thinking when and how our political system will become so mature. But at 75 we haven't done badly at all. I am very happy about our democratic processes taking firm roots. Things will improve sooner than later.
