Thanks for your feedback, Mr Deshmukh. On a lighter note, I could never understand the meaning of 'Khan Market type'. I can't afford to be one because everything is so expensive in that market. That's meant for the who's who of the capital like the Gandhis, Iranis and even Madhavs who are often spotted there. In fact, since my university days, I have been more of a Sarojini Nagar Market type.

I do concede calling her a 'loser' was a bit harsh, given that she won elections in the past. But as BJP national general secretary, you need to have proven organisational skill and a good track record in electoral politics. I am not sure if Purandeswari fits the bill.

I beg to differ, Manu. The BJP's expansion in West Bengal is independent of Roy.

I bed to differ, Mr Dutta. I don't discriminate between parties. Please watch my previous episodes about the Congress. Will use the same yardstick for other parties, too.

I respect your point of view and you are right in your assessment of the BJP's strategy. It's just that these appointments are more symbolic. If you think Purandeswari can deliver for you, you should make her the state BJP president, and not a national general secretary who will have the charge of a different state. Similarly, Panda is a waste on a ceremonial post of a vice-president. He is under-utilised.

Thanks for your feedback, Mr Rao. Agree that the BJP needs to bring in leaders from outside in these states. But do you think Mukul Roy or Anupam Hazra can bring votes to the BJP? Or Tom Vadakkan in Kerala, for that matter! The other names that I mention were more in the context of how the BJP that used to put a premium on ideological purity has started diluting it. Whether it's right or wrong is not my case. I was just trying to highlight this dilution. You are right about Amritsar results but I mentioned it by the by while talking about Chug's track record of never winning an election himself or contributing to the party's win anywhere.

I mentioned Jay Panda as one of the 'outsiders'. He is certainly a bright leader. In fact, I think he is under-utilised as a vice-president, which is a ceremonial post

Thank you

Yes, he did. Tejaswi Surya, CT Ravi and Dilip Saikia were his choices. He did have a say in many other appointments.

Thank you

Yes, that could also have been a nice subject to discuss. Will discuss Maharashtra politics soon. Thanks for your feedback

I am not sure about Mukul Roy who owed his clout to Mamata Banerjee's patronage. But I agree to your views about the other two.
