14 RX owner here since new, best car I've ever owned with ZERO repairs since new with 80k on the clock. Don't forget he mentioned something fell into the defroster vent to cause the malfunction. I wouldn't shy away from a 10-15 RX as long as it is clean and has a solid maintenance history. I wouldn't trade mine for the new RX. RX is not the only Toyota/Lexus that could have possible servo issues. I personally think you should reconsider a 10-15 unit, I'd probably look in the 13-15 year range.

Just bookmarked your channel and will be watching.
2
Gaurantee he'd say no. I buy quality gas and have never cleaned injectors.
2
That's too much, it's supposed to be every 10 miles you silly fool! 😁
2
He has a transmission video that will tell ya.
2
Same here on retired wrench, my heydays were in the 80's & 90's at various shops.
2
@SkipperPond And 59 different genders don't forget.
2
Don't forget flushing the air out of your tires and adding fresh air. 😁

But, the Toyota parts have to be made to Toyota's specs. @efil4kizum
2
I predicted that about 2 months after he first opened his shop.
2
I travel from Peoria which is about 150 miles. The drive is worth every cent because I know my car will be done right. Too many second rate shops out there to not drive to his shop. @markbrown8097
2
If it hasn't been changed before, I would leave it alone. He changed the fluid on mine at 70k miles and said at that mileage it was to the limit. Anything after that he would not change the fluid. Search for his vid. about transmissions it's very informative.
2
Amen brother!
2
Sometimes you'll see in the background that he has a floor cleaning machine. One of the cleanest shops around which explains his quality workmanship IMO.
2
He's too busy running his business to answer all these questions.
2
He's in the Chicago area.
2
He probably won't answer but I'd highly suggest changing it at some point.
2
I have the carbon copy of this RX in black that's a 2014 with 70k on the clock. I'm so glad I'm fairly close to his shop and have an appointment in December for coolant/trans. fluid change. I'll definitely be asking Amd to check the timing cover for sure. Amd is a top flight mechanic and pity anyone who lives too far from him. I'm looking forward to him servicing my 2 Lexus's! His labor rate is more than fair people considering all the labor involved in this job. This is not a DIY kind of job.
2
I'm sure he has a reason why he didn't but would be curious to know that also.
2
@jrtaylor2288 Ah, the old "just needs a can of freon" phrase which 99.9 percent of the time that is not the case.
2
Yes it does, I own a black 18 GS and Amd services it for me.
2
I drove GM all my life because my dad worked for AC Delco. I gave up on the brand and went Lexus and Amd services them. Best brand I've ever owned.
2
My 14 & 18 Lexus will be my last cars I own. I'm going to start stocking up on wear and tear items that may soon fail with genuine Toyota/Lexus parts before they are discontinued. If something should ever happen to either car I know I can always sell the parts. I was never a fan of aftermarket parts for this reason he mentioned.
2
😆
2
Hopefully Lexus will see a drop in sales and they might wake up and change things in the future. Time will tell.
2
You are making the right decision going with a 22. 👍
2
I'm hoping he'll get his hands on one to review.
2
If he does review one it will probably be on his CCN Review channel. That would be a good one for him to cover.
2
Go get it before they are gone. 😀
2
@telecasterman18 Yep, he's in Homer Glen
2
@Truckingmadebrandon Yep, Homer Glen,Illinois a burb outside of Chicago. I'm a regular at his shop.
2
@eugenealymov2723 Just needs some fluids changed mainly due to age. It's 5 years old with 13k on the clock. It's my Sunday driver and doesn't ever see snow.
2
Because he follows him which is a good thing.
2
I noticed this about him early on and I've been his client ever since. I drive 3 hours to his shop.
2
Keep doing what you're doing! I just purchased $2k worth of wear and tear parts for the future before they're discontinued for my 14 RX.
2
@rogermignone9850 Wrong! Amd just said every 5k or 6 months, no later. You obviously didn't watch the whole video.
2
I certainly would if it didn't originally come with that type. It could be what they call an all year all makes type of coolant but, personally I wouldn't use that type of coolant.
2
I wouldn't change a thing. High Mileage is pretty much a marketing scam. Your recommended weight will serve you just fine.
2
Car Wizard has a few vids. on why not to buy a Traverse.
2
Buy it before time runs out, who cares about gas mileage?!
2
And of course he always says rev up your engines. 😀
2
I'm very fortunate that I live close to him and he services my 2 Lexus's. He's just a great stand up guy!
2
Probably owns a pest control business.
2
And hats off to Ninja for working on these cars daily!
2
Totally worth it, I drive 150 miles to his shop one way.
2
I'm bringing my 18 GS to his shop on Monday but don't know if he'll be able to do a video on it.
2
They all blew up. 😁
2
There is a Tuber called "Toyota Maintainence" in northern Cali. somewhere that you might check out. @jml9550
2
I read that early on about him that he was totally legit and have been a client of his since he opened his shop. It's a pleasure to drive a 150 miles to get my cars serviced.
