  2. Lawyers interpret and apply the law in court every day, and arguably they are the best people to have in parliament making law. It is ignorant views such as yours which helped create precisely the problems we now have.

  3.  @andrewyoung749  No-one is suggesting that all MPs should be lawyers, that is absurd. I repeat my point - lawyers know which laws work and which don't. They are the best people to be making laws, alongside the other MPs. That the number of lawyer MPs has reduced has created precisely the problems we now have.
