As a Russian, I think I know more about how socialism actually works than you do, I can also directly compare my country when it was socialist to when it was capitalist whereas in America you’ve only ever experienced capitalism. By the way those rights that you have were won by socialist unions and were only given to appease the working class and make socialism look pointless.

Infinite growth and wealth is a myth and Marx was knew a hell of a lot more about capitalism than you.   9. woodchuck 00 Russia turning into a free economy put people into poverty and just a few examples of socialism bringing millions of people out of poverty are the USSR, GDR, Burkina Faso, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Poland, Yugoslavia, Rojava, Vietnam, Laos and the Seychelles. You also said I should go back to my country when you’ve never experienced your country being devastated by imperialism so have no clue what it’s like, I can’t go back to a country that your nation has completely destroyed. I don’t know why you keep saying I don’t actively fight for my beliefs when I’ve told you that I do. I don’t give a shit about your white saviour commune in the rainforest. By the way, you can’t ‘run’ a commune, a the whole point of a commune is that its members all control it. Jaime Solis You claimed you’ve seen many of the countries I mentioned and somehow know more about them than their own citizens after going on holiday to them but clearly if you think we’re doing well all you’ve done is go to one of the shiny new capitalist resorts. It’s good that you’re aware of how good Ecuador was under Correa, the new president, Moreno, won the election as his ally and was a member of his party but now he’s trying to arrest Correa and his allies and has also taken IMF and world bank loans and introduced austerity. He’s even entered an anti Venezuelan alliance with the fascist governments in Brazil and Colombia. The people have risen up against him but since he’s not a socialist corporate media hasn’t covered it at all and why you didn’t know about it. How exactly is it me living in luxury as a working class man while you travel the world? You have never experienced any hardship and are simply another annoying American tourist. We tried to change things in Russia many times after the fall of the USSR but in 1993 the US backed up Yeltsin against us and even Medvedev admits that united Russia and the US rigged the 1995 elections against the communists. Anyway, I live in the UK and work to change things here, my political group recently sent someone out to Venezuela and what he saw was very different to what you see on CNN.

Funny how capitalism requires the death of tens of millions every year but socialism is apparently what requires bloodshed. Also, Marxism is strictly anti utopian.

  20. Jaime Solis I’m Russian you idiot, and you going on holiday doesn’t make you an expert on anything. Bolivia is currently prospering under a socialist government and Ecuador is currently rising up as they elected someone who claimed to be socialist but then turned the neoliberal dial up to 11 and imprisoned his former socialist allies. Classic fucking American claiming that the rest of us are prospering under capitalism as we slave away for your empire. Really didn’t think that last comment through did you. By the way all the countries of the former eastern bloc apart from Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic’s prefer soviet style socialism to today’s system and in Ukraine about 40% of people feel the same way. The South American countries I mentioned also keep on democratically re-electing socialist governments so clearly they’re also in favour of it. The Vietnamese are also very happy with their situation and although I’m not certain, I’m fairly sure most of the citizens of the other countries I mentioned feel the same as the rest of us.

Jaime Solis First of all, it absolutely hilarious that you’re still talking about your life experience of staying in beach resorts after ignoring my response that I’m actually from one of the countries you’re talking about. Secondly, don’t you realise that leftists have been elected many times? The problem with this is that every single time it happens the US intervenes. Winning an election in the first place is nearly impossible as money matters more than votes and the US is constantly rigging elections. It’s kind of hard to raise a chick when you have a wolf in the chicken coop. This is why violence against the capitalist wolves is required.
