  9.  @egobrain6826  I’m vaguely familiar with IQ, accept the central premises and correlatives, but think the research is incomplete. When someone tells me, a European, that northeast Asians have, on average, higher IQs than we do, I’m not struck with anything but an acceptance of it, at least anecdotally. Makes sense, right? But then why do their modern cities look like ours and why don’t ours mirror theirs? Why do they play an abridged, pop-up version of Beethoven’s Ninth so beautifully in what looks like an American mall in Tokyo? There’s more too it than just average IQs. IQs measure something tangible, certainly, and I agree with almost all of what I’ve seen evidence for regarding disparity between groups. Still, I’m puzzled by how disparate some ranges are within groups to the average and wonder of the average is what we should be measuring.

  11.  @egobrain6826  It’s on my list, but I’ve seen Murray talking for hours, as well as the other famous IQ quippers, including that notable huwhite guy. I get the gist, but I have a Popperian doubt about some of its findings beyond what’s been said that I can’t yet express in words. Again, on my list.

  12.  @Bizagro  I’m not exactly sure they will if our culture isn’t here to drive innovation. Our minds have to be different — we’ve been eating different foods and fighting different enemies for centuries. There’s something about the white distribution that is the key to understanding — whites are easily the most creative and adaptable race, particularly as were today 9% of the planet’s population. I have a hunch that’s it’s not geniuses that drive creativity and evolution but where the lumps of other people fall into place. IQ measures you’re esoteric ability. What would a 140IQ African born in a 65 IQ village have done with his people? His genius is immaterial without others to correspond. THAT’S what needs to be studied. IQ is an fair predictor of future outcomes, but the picture now is as incomplete as open-heart surgery was in 1834.
