It’s not about money . People get very attached to their “castle”

People can make up their own minds based on their particular situation and capabilities

@bobevans9955 I live in an area that has regular floods and the house is designed with a floor level above the 100 year level flood level so yeah I speak from experience whereas you speak out of a lower orifice

Worrying about looters rifling through your stuff

Don’t you think they’ve got a better idea than you on the risk?
9
@beanseason6515 obviously their place isn’t
7
What do want for fleeing? A medal or a chest to pin it on ?
7
@justanobody5484 that’s a fair point
6
Don should have asked the NewYorker why he left … I don’t think CNN would like the answer
6
@cw1345 I’m betting you are the type who wears a mask while driving alone in your car … TO LIVE
6
@randibgood freedom of choice . I’m guessing you’d prefer laws that enabled non evacuators to be forcibly removed at the discretion of the government.

She’s fine . She’s monitoring the situation and If things get worse she she will evacuate
3
@bumblbesss unfortunately it doesn’t take much for the world to devolve into anarchy.

So transparent. Don lemon told he has to get out there to regain all lost credibility as a journalist

It’s funny, it’s usually people wearing these shirts that are the ones spewing out the vilest hatred at protests where other people don’t agree with their opinions.

Not a good look when “King” Don is sitting in boat while the crew are outside pulling it around
1
@Muttinchopsforevermore you didn’t see the rescue squad pulling the boat in shallower water in case the outboard fouled on something
1
@suzanne9150 you obviously have no understanding what it is to be a man
1
@heatherhapgood6235 I guarantee you she’s evaluated the situation way more thoroughly than you or I . I trust her judgement and logic . She said if the boats said they weren’t coming back again then she would leave with them
1
@heatherhapgood6235 you’ve got no idea of her situation. I live in a flood prone area where floor levels of houses are designed to be above 100 year flood levels. So we know the likely worst case scenario. I guess you’re one of these people who flees at the first sign of danger. Not everyone is like you .
1
We know Martha’s Vineyard would call the national guard and have them “deported “
1
@ivorenesmith9003 . I’m betting he’d much rather be in Florida with low crime, low state taxes, more freedom , cheaper housing and not being worried everyday about being stabbed by a homeless man then the occasional hurricane in Florida
1
@ivorenesmith9003 no one enjoys wading in flood waters , I guess that’s why he’s in his house with a dry floor level that was likely designed to be higher than 100 year flood levels .
1
@cw1345 well , lucky this world is not made up with people like you who will flee at the first sign of danger. The rest of us assess the danger with respect to our particular situation and capabilities .
