Trump never called the virus a hoax. He called the attacks on him by the Democrats as the next hoax after Ukraine and Russian collusion.

@desideratoRdam this all stemmed from Trumps Charleston Rally speech. He talked about how he got in early to restrict travel from China... not exactly the actions of a man who thinks the virus is a hoax. Then he talked about the Democrats hoax attacks on him with Russians Collusion and Ukraine and called these new attacks on him about how he is handling the virus as the “ new hoax”

@Tad001 listen to the whole speech and it’s quite obvious he is referring to the attacks by the Democrats as the “ new hoax” ...Alternatively. Just use simple logic as just beforehand he said he restricted travel from China , how can you believe he was calling the actual virus a hoax if he was willing to take the extreme step of restricting travel from the source country of the virus , a move that was roundly criticised by the Democrats as xenophobic?

@Tad001 again this is very simple logic. If he thought the virus was a hoax , then why would he hurt the economy by restricting travel from the source country China?

@Tad001 you still haven’t given an explanation why he restricted travel from China , and for that matter Europe, or why he too steps to lockdown a country with a booming economy or why he applied the Defence Production Act to produce 100s of thousands of ventilators or why he started Operation Warp Speed to fast track the development of vaccines. Again use simple logic, are these the actions of a man who thinks the virus is a hoax?

Tad001 you still haven’t explained why Trump took all these extreme actions if he thought the virus was a hoax... I know you cant explain it because deep down you know I’m right . Even Fauci has said Trump has done everything that was recommended by the experts to deal with this virus ... hardly the actions of a man who supposedly thinks the virus is a hoax.

@Ram Greatness I agree his actions saved a lot of lives, however there are many trump haters who have bought into the spin of his speech to make it appear that he was referring to the virus as a hoax as opposed to the Democrats attacks on him about the virus as being the “new hoax”.

@Tad001 I judge Trump on his actions , not on his tweets or his off the cuff comments. He did everything the experts asked of him, he was praised by Democrat Governors like Cuomo and Gavin Newsom in the early days for giving them everything they asked for. We know a lot more about the virus now and what sections of the community are susceptible to die from it. So the next stage of handling this virus is learning how to live with it while safely opening up the economy whilst protecting the susceptible sections of the community . That’s what Trump is trying to do now .

Masks are used to stop a carrier from passing the virus on to others . He’s wearing a mask now for the protection of others

@Nick Tran you don’t seem to understand why masks are worn ...it’s to try and prevent a person whose got it from spreading it. So it’s the perfect time for him to be wearing it.
