Elmosweed actually NASA has shown that the planet is greening and has directly attributed this to CO2 fertilisation.. having said that even though I don’t believe in the doomsayers, we do need to keep CO2 levels closer to “ natural “ levels as I don’t like the idea of man Geo engineering the planet whether intentionally or not.

  9. PurpleStikyPunch the findings have not been that consistent. The sensitivity of CO2 doubling to global temperatures ranges from 0.8 to over 8 degrees. Even the best minds on your side have a range between 1.5 and 4.5 degrees . In other words scientist wouldn’t have a clue if doubling CO2 will have virtually no effect on global temperatures or will have catastrophic effects. So given that the best scientist in the world can’t make a confident call on the future then indoctrinating children into believing the worst case scenario is comparable to Hitler indoctrinating children into believing his ideology.

PurpleStikyPunch so you’re saying the reports presented at COP24 stating the CO2 sensitivity to global temperature results in a 1.5 to 4.5 degrees temperature range is bullshit and you have the nerve to call us science deniers. Climate scientist who have used the same models and implemented actual temperature data and ensured assumptions were within a reasonable range have come up with a range of 0.8 to 2.45 degrees.

  22. Alexandre Gomes even the best climate change models on your side can’t get CO2 doubling sensitivity to better than 1.5 to 4.5 degrees. So basically if CO2 doubles there will be virtually no impact on the temperature or if you believe the worst case scenario the effects will be catastrophic. When these models use actual real temperature data into these models this temperature range drops significantly.
