lol yeah the ONLY reason devs in the West (California) ie Silicon Valley FAANG get payed so much is because they're in California where cost of living is too damn high.

@slbaaron Yeah and the reason being companies too damn high emphasis on interviews to hire. If tech interviews weren't the way they are people wouldn't need to only grind leetcode to be even considered. The companies did this to themselves.

Work hard was never an option when the companies themselves make it borderline impossible to get hired.

Yes a lot of FAANG companies are going to fire a lot of employees. But it's not the end of the world. I don't see this urge and want for people to put FAANG type corporations on such a pedestal.

And thus the entry level junior devs get even more screwed because they have to compete with ex FAANG devs and thus can't get a job at all
