  1. An old soft bristle tooth brush works well. If you remove the throttle body, you do need a new gasket and you do need to clean both surfaces, that is the throttle body and the intake manifold side. Access to the throttle plate on the back side is much better. DO NOT spray directly at the throttle plate! Just spray onto a clean cloth as AMD showed you. When you reinstall the the TB assembly, lightly tighten the bolts evenly and not with air or cordless tools! Do it with hand tools. I'm sure there's a torque setting like other vehicles use.
