@justinmichaeltarot it's not about 'figuring it out'. it's about energy and resources, and we don't have enough for such schemes.

@walterfielding9079 This is my view also. There just aren't enough resources and energy in a solar system to build huge fleets of interstellar space ships.

My hunch is that there are virtually no solar systems that contain enough resources and energy to allow intelligent beings to go interstellar. The distances are too extreme.

@justinmichaeltarot Lear jets and Spce X are just ways of burning non renewable energy. When the cheap energy is gone, which it almost is, we won't be flying jets or launching rockets. Technology is useless without energy to fuel it.

@justinmichaeltarot Not really, the energy from the sun is no practical use without means to harness it. All we have at the moment for that purpose is solar panels.

We can't. We'll never get out of our solar system. We've used up all the cheap resources here on Earth and now the economy is in decline.
