2:41 "A little tricky.." Just to do that all in the first place, before you fire a 25mm grenade from the shoulder (They really should mount these things, or at least Bipod them, just like Machineguns) Honestly, this entire class of weapons, the shoulder fired grenade-launcher falls under the class of "Looks good on paper." There's some low velocity things like Signal Flares, which 12 gauge can handle just fine. (Look at the Orion hand launchers) but basically: If it's powerful enough to launch a decent sized warhead a decent distance, then you want to mount it, or at least have a recoiless system (Like the hugely successful RPG-7) Or mounted. Direct fire ARTILLERY is too powerful to shoulder fire. Period. Stop, it's not going to work until we have Powered Armor to walking fire effective weapons like these. Which is why there are not, nor have there ever been any effective weapons like these that aren't either: Mounted, Recoiless, or Both. At the very least, a Bipod should be standard.

4:06. Yes, this is an ideal application. For a Mounted semi-autocannon. Hell, you can even build recoil-buffers into the mounts, you've covered several. Same with arming light vehicles. Where a lot of these designs seem to fail is trying to make them a shoulder-fireable walking fire gun. Like the BAR, which failed because it was too heavy, and too powerful in 30-06. Now, the gizmo boys in arms companies around the world are tying to apply that failed concept to 50 caliber BMG, and 20mm Vucan, almost a century after 2m long Anti-tank rifles (With bipods) became obsolete. You see the problem? We're on the verge of power assisted infantry. Exoskeletons, and powered armor, which may finally make these kinds of heavy mobile infantry a reality, but without that, this concept just won't work.
