  1. GG is guaranteed to understand the hardship, challenges and frustration faced by ordinary Singaporeans because of his humble background. Also I would prefer someone who had shown and proven on the ground actual philanthropy works than "anyone" reading choreographed script? Would you prefer a truly Independent President to serve the Country and its People OR serving the Party? Famous PAP who would qualify to run the PE based on the Public Sector Criteria.   2. "Work in the Political System for 20 years, resign for 1 or 2 months and become independent, I think its difficult, I can't do that". I have to laugh. I think such excuse is making 6 years old out of Singaporeans.

That's the reason why we need 100% independent President to be Elected to safeguard Singapore and Singaporeans from Self-Serving Party like the 0.11 cents/sqft GCB.
