  1. There are 91,600 personnel (including the navy's marines) in the army, with a total of 147,000, plus 50,000 reserves, not "73,000". That's still too small though. I have no idea how they spend so much (£40 billion pa) and have so few men. I understand Trident and other things cost a lot, but the average wage of a soldier is only £21k pa! HIRE MORE MEN!
