  146. Gay marriage. I'm against it, because of the M word (Marriage), For many of us marriage is more than a legal contract, there isa (for lack of a better word) Spiritual component. There is also history. I can't find a society/tribe/etc that has sanctioned Same Sex MARRIAGE...homosexuality...no problem, no big deal. But Marriage? that's different. All That said, to say for better or worse that train has left the station and is 20 miles down the track.

  601.  @azfinn113  I call it The Hinge of History. About 10 years ago I was watching a You Tube video on Machiavelli's The Prince. Towards the end they had Gary Hart on (remember him?) and he said "I believe we are on a cusp of history (I think this was made right at the end of the Cold War). SUDDENLY all these images and thoughts came flooding in. Ever since I've been trying to put it into 25 words or less..with no success. Its a way...a lens to look at everything that has been happening in the last...30-40? years. Collapse of Political Parties...GWOT...Rise of Nationalism...Well EVERYTHING. It requires us to step back and look at the forest..not the trees. At any rate It works for me.

For me it started 45-50(?), now I REALLY don't give a damn. I try to be civil with those who are civil, but if someone wants to get down and dirty...I can do that too. "Leftists haven't been playing by the rules for a long time. That is why things are the way they are now, and why our country split and at odd ends with one another." I do see that changing. I have friends/acquaintances who are On The Left, and many are starting to express concerns and doubts over what is happening on their side, Riots..Mandatory masks...5 months into a 15 day lockdown, cancel culture.
