This is absolutely what we should continue to do. Those countries help the US economy by doing trade and business with us, and contribute to stability and peace in their region. They deserve a slice of the pie as well. Think of them as private contractors: they have more autonomy and less company benefits, but they deserve to get paid for doing a vital function that the US workers can't do (due to lack of resources, or better specialization and skills.)

@marcusappelberg369 part of the problem is our local state government refusing to allocate money on low income areas. They allow them to rot, especially if they aren't part of their "political constituents."

 @snackums996 yeah, I hate that system, because we should allow some rainy day funds without forcing ourselves to waste, say, ammo, or missiles for the sake of maintaining a budget.

If we withdrew all our troops, our entire economy would tank after a few months of piracy and as response to uncertainty. That $9b price tag will swell to $300b, and corporations will increase costs on consumers to ship goods depending on the route. Also, every single country, big and small, that trades and deals with the US is important because they are part of the backbone of our trade-based economy. When one of them suffers, we all suffer. If we dont help them, we risk losing billions depending on their population size, and the overall regional stability- in a way, the american army is also their army, because they helped pay for it!

@michaelmayo-vb5fl because they protect our economy by virtue of existing and maintaining a presence in otherwise, high risk areas, dummy. Where do you think our wealth and resources come from? OTHER COUNTRIES! That's why I never make fun of small countries like The Phillipinnes or Morocco, because their workers are our workers. When one country has a crisis, the entire global market suffers from their loss and by extension, the American economy which is largely TRADE-BASED. That's why we should help other countries when they ask for military aid, because they helped pay for our army by contributing to our economy. Foreign workers are like private contractors: they get more autonomy but less rights, but their work is vital for the main company to function.

(Whether due to lack of resources, manpower, or specialization.) When they ask for help, we should, because they helped pay for our soldiers by contributing to the US economy, and contributing to global trade.

That is why regulation is necessary. We need auditors to help redirect that waste to the right place. Our military needs a JCAO.
